Hi, I recall reading about a trick to repairing a carb boot leak a while back but for the life of me I can't recall what it was....am I crazy though because I seem to recall somehow using a propane cylinder to somehow spot the leak /?

Anyone?

I use an unlit propane torch to find intake leaks on cars and bikes. (seems funny to say unlit,,but I always do in case someone were to try using a lit one sometime
)



Move the torch around the intakes and connections to the carbs and the heads.



If you notice a difference in idle speed when the torch is placed in a certain spot,,there is most likely a leak there.

I seem to remember using anything from Krazy-Glue for a specific leak, to a bicycle innertube for more general coverage. Both of which, seemed to work.
