Can anyone identify these tires?

Looking for something a bit more aggressive for a build I am doing for a buddy.

I have some Dunlop D404 tires and they are just too dainty for the build.

I have Shinko on my BMW K75 build and looking for something more aggressive for the CX.

Current build:

Wondering what these are in the photo below:

Also want to go bigger/wider across the board for the CX.

You'll be somewhat limited by what fits in the swing arm. A 130 will SOMETIMES fit, depending on brand and model.
Bob will be along soon to tell you why you don't want wider tires on your bike. (And I'll agree with him.)

It's simple: Wider tires are harder to lean over into a turn. I will agree that higher powered bikes need wider rear tires to transfer the power to the road with a reasonable tire life but tires wider than 130 on a 50 Hp bike looks cartoonish and certainly won't handle as well as the bike could with narrower ones.

True, but physics isn't.

To people who have any amount of understanding of how things work something that works right generally looks a lot better than something put together based on style with no regard for how it works.

Just pulling your leg. You know that function should always follow form! :ROFLMAO:

Besides, beauty is in the eye of the beerholder ;-)

I prefer to ride my bike rather than to gaze fondly at it. When I'm riding I care about how it rides not how it looks. From the seat I can't even see the rear tire.

And more things become beautiful, the longer you hold it.

This is getting a little weird... LOL
Decided to stand down on the tires. Finally got my K75s fired up since buying it a year ago. Time to dive into reworking a few things on the CX and getting it fully wired and fired, before disassembly for powder and a few more odds and ends.

Thanks for walking me back, not even going to be my bike, building it for a buddy in Tampa, but have my eye on a 78 Deluxe that I may just snag to get all these other parts I have put to use.

So I take it no one can ID the knobby tires in the photo above?
Seriously, would just like to know the brand, particularly the tire on the rear. Looks like that bike has the same front end I put on mine. Please, no lecture on the number of nubs on the tire or how black they are.
I can read "Duro" on the sidewall of the rear. A few minutes searching through their catalogue found the HF-904
The front looks like it could be an HF-903

BTW: I thought the HF-904 looked familiar so I looked through my records and found that I tried one on the back of Eccles (CX650E based winter sidecar outfit) in 2012.

I use dual sport tires on Eccles because I drive it in the winter and I need something that will grip in the snow. The HF-904 didn't and the first ride in snow (less than an inch) was scary enough that I ordered a tire I knew would work and I've stayed with the Kenda K270 since

If you zoom in on the image, it says Duro on the sidewall.
welp there ya got it. Duro. Thanks.

Side note, selling the 2-1 Exhaust on my build. Anyone know what a mint one goes for?
BTW: Please take a few minutes to add your location and your bike's model and model year to your profile (see Forum Settings link in my signature).

Post your question on ADVRider.com. They're dual sport tires, and the folks there will be able to pinpoint the tire in moments.

I'd also like to know, as 16" dual sport tires are rare finds.

Charles.
See post #13.
saw that too late :)
