ok heres what happened



2 times a week i donate my plasma well today started off just fine until i get to the parking lot some lady (for a lack of better words) turned into the parking lot that i was going into and then bam all of a sudden decides to back up the car was still going forward when she just slammed it in reverse i barley got out of the way then she comes up to me and says "sorry i didnt see you which is weird because i always look out for bikers" kinda upset me i mean she missed me by just inches



so i guess i am just saying every one be safe seeing how more of you northern guys and gals are just now waking up your bikes



so just a heads up the idiot drivers are out and in force...........

I drive a car as well as ride so it's a bit hypocritical to complain about,"All" cagers for me but I do like a good rant<grin>.



There are bad riders as well.On more than one occasion I've nearly been side swiped by an,"Esamrelda" of crotch rocket riders going past in a daffy pack doing double my speed even when I'm doing 60 Mph+tax on single lane roads.



I use the term Esamrelda/s as a collective noun for crotch rocket riders because when they get off their bikes most of them act like Quasi Modo for a few minutes<BFG>

On the other side of the coin even today many cagers who are in the know or maybe riders themselves have pulled over to let me overtake.I position myself so they can see me and turn my indicator on and wait.The good ones know what it means and let me pass

Thanks for the reminder Lucky, glad she didn't nail ya! It really is a battlefield out there...the near misses are a blessing in that they add to our awareness without any losses other than our nerves (and temper!).

I was behind a garbage truck once when he missed his turn into a parking lot. I couldn't believe my eyes when he started backing up right out in the street. I tried to get my car out of drive and into reverse but I hit park instead and then he hit me. The ignorant bastard admitted it to the cop but then told his boss I had run into him. Needless to say, I referred the boss to the police report and got a nice check out of it from the city. My next door neighbor shot my replacement bumper for me and I cleared almost $1500 for my troubles.



Anyway, your original thought is absolutely correct. The morons are out there.

One of my first days out this season I was almost part of a grille several times! One guy was pulling out of the business and into the street- he was halfway into the street before he noticed me. He slammed on his brakes and waved..... wow



My eyes were glued on him the whole time because when I first saw him he was just putting the blazer into drive, and something about making sure I see the person entering the same piece of road as I am on look at me too.. just so we're clear we see each other... yikes



Maybe 200 yards from that I had some lady who never turned her head and pulled out of the bank directly in front of me. Never saw me, and had I not been paying attention, I would've run into the back of the car. Funny thing about that one was she has vanity plates, I work with her husband, and HE was a rider until his stroke last year. You would think she'd take the extra few seconds......

Melody and I followed some stupidity today and had to abandon it. The guy in front of us was clearly lost and talking on his cell phone. Instead of doing the right thing and pulling into a gas station or other to figure it out he decided to drive fast and then 15mph below the speed limit. Then fast again followed by slow. Hit a construction cone and the next possible chance we got away from following the stupidity.

I looked at that word like what the hell for a few seconds. Just looks like an ugly name. But I believe it's Quasimodo
