Hey, how did you get your bikes stance? It seems pretty low all around, and mine stands a bit taller. Are your rear shocks much lower than stock? Is your seat pretty snug on the frame?
The shocks are 13" eye-to-eye, so they are not lower. The seat hugs the frame. Its a piece of sheet metal with some thin foam. When I had the frame bare, I just took a piece of sheet metal and cut it to shape then pounded the edges to get it sit right on it. The front end is stock as well. The rear tire is a 16". I think the short rear fender/tire setup helps with the stance.

Nice. My seat/cowl has not been decided on, trying to come up with a good idea that wont require much fabrication or cash, but it seems it requires one or the other... Very nice set up, man.

Do you have any issues with your clubmans touching your tank? My drag bars are becoming an issue.
no problem with them hitting the tank. the bar end mirror however does hit the spark plug wire when parked depending on how I have the mirror adjusted.

The foot pegs are lower too.

Cheers, 50gary
I never checked to see if they were lower or not. they are reversed and I have skinny pegs, maybe it makes them look lower. I wonder if anyone ever measured to see if reversing the mounts lowers them as well.

great video! You can't switch the pegs on '81, can you? Mine look completely different.
not sure about the 81. I know the 79+80 do because thats what I have in the garage. Have you tried to see if they would swap yet?

Awesome bike man. Are you running the stock throttle cables with the clubmans? I'm about to order a set of black clubmans and wanted to get cables that would be the right length. I like how you used the custom tank for the cafe look. Mine is a custom so I was wondering how it would look cafe style. The lines of the bike flow well. Great job!

Thanks. I am using stock cables. They are a little too long and you need to route them right or they will not work correctly. I was going to cut the ends off and solder them to make them shorter, but decided this will do for now. Maybe this winter I'll take them off and shorten them to clean them up.
