2 quick questions:

1. How do you like the bar end mirrors? I have ran with them before and personally think they are useless.

2. Can people behind you actually see your plate on that angle?
Phil, this is the first bike I have owned with this style mirror. I still head check as well, but I do that with any mirror. Not sure if people can see the plate or not, just worried about the cops not people anyway.

As a side note - I did take it for a good ride the other day and for all those concerned about the pipes, they did just fine. It was kinda hard going around corners in a lean and looking at them, but I did a couple times (at slow speeds for safety). No pole vaulting or pipe damage at all.
And it purrs like a kitten ( a big angry kitten).

I use small round bar end mirrors, I like them and they're cheap. I don't need to read a newspaper in the mirrors just see objects larger than me. Having said that it's not too blurry, no big deal.

Cheers, 50gary

Have a set of bar end mirrors for my CX project. Had a set of Napoleon

bar end mirrors on a SV650 and they worked well. To see clearly out of the stock mirrors on my KLR650, have to grab the mirror being used with one hand, to reduce the thumper's mirror vibration. Still head check when changing lanes.

Good to hear, on all accounts.

very nice, yellow radiator and all

I agree; I have been coming back to this bike to look at it since you first posted pictures and I must say, I really like it. I showed the pictures to some friends at work, one who is a rider himself, but isn't a cafe fan, and even he really admired the bike. The picture you have in front of the local traffic only sign is really a great shot and shows off the bike well. You have a great eye for staging your bike.

Thanks for the compliments guys. That particular pic was actually one my wife took when I parked the bike in front of the house after a ride and couldn't get the camerea to work right. She grabbed the camera and snapped the shot. It wasn't staged, but sure makes the pic.

And I think the yellow is growing on everyone.

I 2nd Zens post. I'd love to see the setup with your start button. Planning on doing that over the winter.

and BTW-The yellow struck me as odd at first, but I've visited this thread daily since you posted and it's definitely growing on me.

Where did you get those footpegs? I've been searching for new ones on the web, makes me feel like I'm webdumb.

AND, could you get some close up pics of the start button and kill switch, whatever you relocated? I need a better idea of what you did there.
Footpegs are straight off ebay. Got them to match the shocks.

The start button and kill switch are on the right hand side and the horn and brights are on the left hand side. I'll try and get some pics today and get them up.

I think the yellow has spread like a virus. Most people are warming up to it after a day or two. There are still some people that are immune to it, but hopefully they come around as well.

Found some pics on the camera from during the build of my switch setup. Didn't take one from both sides, but you get the idea.
