The fan and rotor are a taper fit so screwing the removal bolt into them forces them off.

This may sound counter intuitive but once you have the bolt in your hand and the item to be removed in front of you it should seem fairly obvious.

I'm probably going to earn some ire here but you could pick up a spare axle of the correct size, put a nut on it, grind the end flat and then wind the nut half way off. Wind it back on and clean up the burrs until the nut goes on and off easily. Then keep it as a tool.

Maybe someone can help you out with the bolt though....

I bought a subaru oil drain bolt from the local napa for around $3. This is the correct size for removing the flywheel. It is too short as it is so you need to stick something in front of it when removing the flywheel otherwise the bolt head bottoms out on the flywheel before popping it off the shaft. At the time I put a couple of dimes in front of it and it worked just fine.

I'd guess they're all the same as I didn't ask for a specific year when I bought mine. What they gave me worked.

I was able to find the fan removal bolt at my local hardware store. That one might have cost me $5.

M14 x 1.5 is the fan size... M20 x 1.5 is the Flywheel... Fastenal has local offices all over the country, if you are lucky enough to be near one, they will have whatever you need the next AM if it is not already on the shelf. Click on the link below to purchase...

50mm is a good length. Sorry to repost the fastenal link Lil Buffalo... here's another interesting tool link for HSS Round stock in incremental metric sizes

Buffalo, I just called Your Napa store, and got a part # for you for the 14mm x 1.5 bolt to remove the fan. Part # 84982 is $3.99 and is 1 3/4" long. He has 3 in stock.

You can also check with the bike shops in your area. Most shops should have the aftermarket flywheel removers available.
