I'm looking ahead at a few projects that I want to complete over the winter, and one of them is putting a new clutch into my '80 custom. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with the clutch kits available, and opinions as to which is the best.



I found this, but it seems a little fishy in the fitment department.

I have EBC friction plates in my 500T. Good, solid clutch kit.

I bought EBC brake pads from them. Quick shipper. I would say go for it. It is the same clutch pads I bought just a different person.

It also fits other bikes that have more plates. I don't know, I just thought that maybe it would be better to get a kit that was made specifically for the CX.

OEMs like to use the same parts as often as possible - costs them less to produce that way!

Well at Old Bike Barn they say the fitment works for these.
