Hello all,

I recently changed the exhaust and foot pegs on my bike, but i find the shifter lever and rear brake lever to be too far away and not sticking far enough out to the side now.
What i am wondering is how much can i bend on the two levers without compromising their integrity? Ideally i would like to be able to do it myself, but if people have done it before with problems ensuing I'll just take it to a shop and have them maybe heat the part up so they can get it to bend without snapping.

Any suggestions or feedback would be great!

I just made up a new shift lever and converted to a cable brake set-up.

Cxphreak: I did not know that. That's very good to know though! Thanks for the info

Canuck13: For the shifter lever did you use the existing mounting end (the clamping part that attaches to the shifter axle) and just welded a different extension onto it? That's pretty smart concerning the rear break lever, but Ideally I'd like to keep it as just the solid lever. Seems easier to work with.
