I assume you have engine bars on the bike?
ATGATT REALLY WORKS
It was a great day so I went for a ride. Met up with two guys and they asked if I wanted to ride along
They were going across the Skyway. I said sure. The were older guys and on cruiser bikes. Wait I'm old too!
Long story short, I went wide in a turn and caught some gravel a had me a low side gitoff! Doing about 30 mph. Just was not paying attention for a moment.
The bike is OK and they stopped and helped me set the bike up and few mins to catch my breath. After a few mins. the bike started right up and we took off to finish
our ride. Up in those mountains there is cell phone service so it was time to dust my self off and ride the 80 or so miles home.
That was at 2:30 Sunday, it's now 8:45 Monday and I'm starting to hurt everywhere!
First time ever for a bike event for me! I don't want to do it again!!!
Wearing good gear is what it's all about!

Oh yes, and I'm very glad. Good "Honda LIne" bars. they worked very well indeed.
Other than the fairing being a little off now and some scratches on the left bag it's OK.
Picking some gravel out of my boots and jacket, no big deal.
Although i do feel like I threw myself under the bike to protect it!
I thought you must have otherwise I know there would have been more damage to the bike and yourself.I always try and get people to fit engine bars to these bikes because of their unusual engine design it not only preserves the engine but the rider's legs.
