Hi All,

I’d just removed the handlebars and steering stem, to remove the solid brown cement between the steering ball bearings when I saw this on the floor.
I can’t narrow it down except it wasn‘t there before I removed the handle bars and steering stem. Basically it is from anywhere relating to the steering, handlebar, headlamp etc.
Any ideas? It’s not danger size, so I’m not busting a gut, but still…
Thanks

It may be part of a windshield attachment.

Yes, it says ‘EO‘ in the shape, then ‘patent’ then a lopsided ‘w’.
A previous owner had fitted a screen, so you never know.

Looks like a tubing ferrule, and probably no reason for it to be on the bike at all. Couldn't hurt to check any hard brake lines for compression type fitting repairs though.

Thanks for the link, I’ll have a careful look when I start putting him back together.

I don’t know about its history, but it has standard forks and no aftermarket gauges.
