Just a couple of questions for the forum readers...I'd like a bigger rear wheel/tire for my CX500 bobber project:

What is the largest (and fattest) tire size I can put on the rear 16" rim?

Secondly, is there any way an 18" rear wheel rim be put on the CX500c?

Lastly, will a CX650 rear wheel (plus or minus differential) fit onto the CX500 frame and match with the driveshaft end? In other words, will the CX500 differential slide right onto the CX650 wheel hub?

OK, everyone can stop chuckly --- obviously I am not familiar with interchangeability of the CX models and any advice to enlighten me would help me! Thanks!

The cx650 wheel/final drive is an odd combination. It's totally different and won't fit. Gl650 will.

Fattest tire is 140/90 16

But remember some tires are larger then they say and some are smaller so you may buy a 140 but it could be a 150. Or a 140 that is a 130. As a last ditch effort people have been known to trim the swing arm and reweld it. Someone recently did this. I'll see if I can hunt it up.
