1981 Honda CB750C... need to remove carbs... step#2 = remove battery and battery box... how do you remove the battery box? with torches and weld it back in one piece when you're done? Anybody that can tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

Been there, done that. I don't remember having to take the battery box out tho. It seems that I had to pull everything towards the rear wheel and do a lot of cussing. I know that compared to the 750, the CX & GL's are a piece of cake. When you guys are complaining about the CX carbs, just think of having twice as much to line up and half the room.

It seems that the clymer manual is incorrect, the battery tray need not be removed. Thank god or a torch and welder were going to need to be handy. I do appreciate all the help, thanks guys.

Just goes to show, the manual isn't always correct.
