I bought a '83 650C almost entirely for the engine to maybe fit in my GL500.
I do notice the headers are a larger diameter. Does it follow the remainder of the exhaust system is larger as well?
Is the x box the same?
I noticed the headers appear to slim down just as they enter the x box.
Does this mean the headers from the 650 will fit my existing 500 exhaust?
Curious minds want to know.

There is also an overflow bottle with a nifty tool pouch built in. Anybody know if it will fit my GL500?


BTW there are many parts I don't need and anyone can have them if needed.
This includes basically everything (minus engine) up to and including a titled frame.

I know the Xbox numbers are different and I would think that the 650 would fit in the 500, but if not I would have an extra 650 Xbox. Yes, I do need some CX650c parts including that overflow bottle with the nifty tool pouch, lol. I'll message a list tomorrow.

The CX650C is it's own thing. Aside from the engine, very little will transfer to your GL500.
With a set of GL650 hangers, the engine should bolt right into your GL500. You might need to retain the final shaft from your 500 engine to mate with your driveshaft.
