Hey group, it's been a while but with winter I can't drive, so I'm working on wiring. Got a new NUUT Marty unit and controls and putting on my bike to update the crusty wiring. Found an amazing website that sells short lengths of wire in whatever color you need. See photo. NUUT sent me a new wire diagram to coincide with their unit to match mine and I want to use the colors they provide instead of just buying 1 spool of black and labeling it. Tried to search the group for this site and didn't find anything about this site. Anyway, see photo, but for 10ft lengths of 10 different colors of 18g wire it's $23.95, and then I just need violet and light green so I bought those separate at 5ft length for $6.65 each, grand total of $37.25 for my new wiring diagram. I'm sure this would also work for the Motogadget M-unit rewiring if you want to update the old 80s wires. Also posting a new wire diagram for my bike from NUUT, so you have an idea of what's going on with those units. I'll be doing an amateur YouTube video when I get it all said and done and I'll be sure to post that as well.
Please note that this NUUT diagram is custom tailered to my own build based on what I already have on my bike and what hand controls I'm switching to, and if you buy from NUUT they will also build you a custom diagram.
Also I want to add a shout out to BJ English from Brick House Builds on YT for having wiring videos that had this site listed.

I’ve bought a Nuut Morty unit for my Eurosport too; just waiting on a few Little’s bits and pieces before I do the install. I haven’t taken Nuut up on their offer of a wiring diagram and my install is not complicated and I’m ok with this stuff, although I have asked them a few q’s via email and they always reply and have been v patient with me so far. +1 for Brick House Builds, I follow him on YouTube, he does some good videos and has done a few cx / gl custom builds specifically. Another option is to just buy one color of wire and label the ends with typed colors, or the name of the part. Do it in a small font and use clear shrink tubing to seal the label and the fitting. I use WireCare.com | Your Local Cable Management Superstore! for all of my wiring needs. Since my turbo 650 uses 12 basic colors and another 20+ colors with stripes, this is a much simpler approach.

I finally installed the NUUT Morty unit; took longer than I expected mostly as I messed on with sorting where and how to put the unit. I was keen to fit it in the Eurosport bikini fairing and that is where it is, low down and horizontal. I made a sturdy metal bracket to hold it and put some medium density foam on this to which the unit is held in place with Velcro. The unit itself is very easy to wire up, it’s the placing of the wires and connectors etc which is fiddly. Now I have finished the install is really neat and the overall wiring set up is less complicated and I would guess more robust. I have nice new switch gear to go with it, plus a new single-cable throttle and grips; led lights throughout, a new compact horn, hazard lights, etc. it’s a lovely set up. Been getting in some shake down miles now and the bike is running great; I’ve taken the time to do some front suspension mods (entirely eliminating the TRAC) and engine work, and she is purring. My 30 min shake down ride tonight turned into 90 mins, I was only beaten back by the cold in the end!
I’ve got a LOT of miles planned on this bike this year, including the Great Malle Rally in June.
the bike is original looking except for front indicators and mirrors and I intend to keep it that way. I wouldn’t mind a black flush-fit fuel cap … for sleekness, just subtle style tweaks, no frame chopping!

I will add:
1. Wago connectors are really useful for bringing together multiple connections on the same output, E.g indicators and also input where you need to split the power-in. I have used multiple wago connectors which make a neat, solid and reversible connection.
2. Plan, plan, plan: don’t start chopping or wiring until you have really thought about what is going where, what connections you will need, etc. get the unit site sorted first as all your wiring will stem from that.
3. I used a terminal crimping tool, cheap enough from Amazon or wherever, creates a solid, tidy and neat end to your wires for insertion into wago connectors or the Morty unit. Max length on Morty insert is 8mm so you will probably need to trim any terminal crimps. Get one and practice with it first. Don’t over-tighten your connections into the Morty unit. Using this will save you soldering the tips of lose copper strands.
4. Of all the messing around I have done with my bike I think the most useful has been the Rae San ignition unit; Morty and those sort of things are nice, LEDs are nice, new switches are nice, but the Rae San is truly useful!
