Just rattling around ideas in my head, but has wheel builders on the forum ever tried building a 19" Comstar rear wheel? CX hub with a 19" CX or GL1100 rim? Could slap some Kenda K760 on and have a funky dirt bike!

Everything (among the twisted twins) had a19" front, but the front hub is much smaller than the rear.Custom had 19 as Front. But don't know if Spokes will fit.
Not everything. The E models and Turbos came with 18" fronts.Everything (among the twisted twins) had a19" front, but the front hub is much smaller than the rear.
That's odd. I ran an 18" CX500 rear wheel with a knobby on the rear of my GL500 for a couple of years with no clearance issues and I've had an 18" CX500 rear wheel in a GL500 swingarm on my CX650E based winter machine with knobbies since 2006 and the only clearance issue was the year I tried a 4.50 instead of a 4.00, and that only rubbed the inside of the fender when I hit big bumps.a 19 inch wheel with a dual sport type tread will most likely encounter problems with the overall diameter as well, I purchased a GL500 that the P.O. had hopes of making a dual sport, with a knobby tire on the 78 CX 18 inch Comstar the tire barely cleared the swingarm pivot.
I used the inside of a GL rear wheel stock spokes and rim for the disk brake set up. It takes some finesse but it could be done.Just rattling around ideas in my head, but has wheel builders on the forum ever tried building a 19" Comstar rear wheel? CX hub with a 19" CX or GL1100 rim?
